Preventative medicine.

There's a really big topic.

The medicine that most doctors are doing is intervention medicine.

There's another really big word.

What that means is most doctors wait until you actually get sick.

You don't go to the doctor when you're healthy, you get sick or injured or hurt and then you go see the doctor and you say fix me up pretty natural well, preventative medicine is a little bit different.

That's where the doctor tries to help you so that you don't get sick before you get sick, the doctors already helping you.

Now, there's a lot of things we can do in preventative medicine and there's a lot of different ways to approach it.

But I heard maybe it's a rumor, I'm not sure if it's true or not.

But I heard there was a big meeting of the doctors about 100 120 years ago and they made a decision what kind of medicine they should be studying, researching and doing.

And everybody went for intervention medicine.

Part of the reason was they thought most people don't want to see the doctor when they're healthy.

And the second reason was nobody's gonna pay a doctor when you're already healthy.

But people are happy to pay once they're sick.

So you couldn't make a living as a doctor in preventative medicine.

Today, people are arguing that you can make a living in preventative medicine.

You can charge people for your services as a, uh, teaching them how to take care of their body, how to massage themselves and give themselves, uh, stress breaks and eat good food.

There's all sorts of ways to prevent getting sick, how to wash your hands so that you don't pick up germs from other people.

And preventative medicine seems much, much better because we don't wanna get sick in the first place.

How about you? Would you pay money to a doctor to prevent yourself from getting sick? Think about it.
