Script

"Bone conduction, earphones.

What's that? You say? This is a cool new thing.

It's not too new anymore, but the last five or six years may be a little more than that.

There have been these earphones that you don't put in your ear, they don't cover your ear, they go outside your ear and they're touching your skull, they touch against the skull right in front of the ear.

They make vibrations that go straight through the bone, the vibrations come out of the, well, I don't know if you'd call them earphones, vibrators, let's call it and the vibrations go into the bone and then into the ear bones, you know, your ear has bones.

Right.

Anyway, I bought a pair recently.

I think they're great.

They don't have quite the same high fidelity sound that other things, other earphones do, but your ears are open so you can still hear what's going on around you.

It doesn't block out the other sound, it just puts it on top and basically you're the only one who can hear them.

It's really cool, they're light and they've got a sort of an elastic to hold them on your head.

Kind of a spring type mechanism anyway, they're pretty expensive, but you can go jogging with them, they're hands free.

So you don't need to worry about, um, cords getting wrapped up or winding and unwinding cords.

And although there are other hands free models, these ones have a sort of spring in them, so they're not gonna fall out of your ear.

If they do fall down, they'll just wrap around your neck and bounce there if you're jogging or doing some kind of exercise.

So you could have a conversation with somebody with these earphones on and you could still listen to your favorite music or podcast.

They're, they're wonderful things.

If you are not really, really intent on the best quality music, I recommend bone conduction earphones."
